Thanks for the input Stephan.I was thinking something more along the lines of
becoming an SMS provider as in installing an SMS gateway. Usually there is a
Gateway number setup in each cell phone or at the providers end or on the SIM
card that allows for SMS to be sent to a specific number (which is the SMS
gateway) and then it's sent to destination. I know that it's a big source of
revenue for GSM providers but I was wondering if there was a method to use that
facility to send those SMS to a different gateway which could be the Asterisk
server with the SS7 connection?Do I make any sense?Thanks,Bruce
