Hey Bruce if its on a static ip already you should be good to role (bar local issues with your external clients fw/routers)

One thing that is usually a stumper for most people is that operating system like cantos 5 come with firewall rules already turned on by default , Id start there, you can use system-config-securitylevel to set that to off.

Hi guys,
I have tried setup externip=public ip of asterisk server and nat=yes in
sip.conf but when I do a sip debug I see that packets are sent with private ip
of 10.x.x.x which get a deny of service.
What exact settings have to be set for a server behind nat? It is an Amazon
server and not even behind NAT. Has static IP from amazon and firewall rules
allow 5060 tcp/udp and 10000-20000 udp.
