I got their holiday plan (not offered anymore)
It include unlimited calling to Canada and US. Unlimited text messages
around the world. Unlimited picture messages to Canada & US. Unlimited Data.
Caller Id, VoiceMail, Call Forwarding.
(They are currently offering a $45 plan with similar features)

50% off plans are only for 6 months and afterwards it is the regular price.
My plan will not change as long as I keep it.

I haven't faced unreachable problems but I did experience not being able to
dial out on the first attempt but the second attempt worked alright. But I
think it is not a problem, it was same on my Fido phone as well.

I would NOT agree to the last point from Bruce. It might not be good for one
who wanders around within GTA as they still have pockets within GTA that are
not covered. Before you transfer your current number to them, you should
test if it has good signal in your Home, Office, and places you go often.
You can always say them goodbye as there is no contract.

For the person who goes out of GTA often, they are better forsure, let me
tell you how.
If you are Rogers/Fido customer and go out of your city, they don't charge
you Roaming as long as you are on their own network. But they do charge you
Airtime and Long distance which is between $0.60/m to $1.2/m (aprox)
If you are a wind customer and go out of your area, you will roam on Rogers
network so you get the same or more coverage than anybody else. But yes Wind
does charge you Roaming which is $0.25/m but remember no airtime charges and
no long distance (depends on plan)

So...
Rogers's customer from Toronto using Rogers network in Barrie, $0.80/min
(aprox)
Wind's customer from Toronto using Rogers network in Barrie, $0.25/min

Rogers's customer from Toronto using Rogers network in Ottawa, $0.80/min
(aprox)
Wind's customer from Toronto using Wind network in Ottawa, $0/min

Rogers's customer from Toronto roaming in New York, $1.20+/min
Wind's customer from Toronto roaming in New York, $0.25/min

So for travellers, it sure is better.

Regards

Ehsan

Windmobile had a 50% off day for a $15 plan which allowed unlimited
international SMS and 150 monthly minutes (I can't confirm unlimited SMS;
was told by someone who has the plan) which came to $7.5/month. Of course
you can't go wrong with that price but two people I know more than 50% of
the time are unreachable (service unavailable) when I call them. Cell phone
is becoming like bad VoIP connection :-) with the new carriers.

I think they are good deals if one uses them as stationary phones within
GTA.
