Hello astlinux community,

I am planning on incorporating a VOIP lab in the 'networks' course that
I teach. We will probably be purchasing about 25-50 units of SBC based
hardware. The choice narrows down to two contenders: net4801 and the
eBox 3850ps (see http://www.wdlsystems.com/ebox/ebox.shtml)
I have had good experience with the net4801, but the eBox is under
serious consideration since it has integrated video, and kbd and mouse
connectors ... makes it a bit easier for the student/teaching assistant.
Plus, it has a 800 MHz processor, which though a Via processor, has to
be quite a bit faster than the Geode in the net4801.
Regardless of the purchase, we plan to run 'astlinux' on the hardware.

I was wondering if anyone here has had good or bad experiences with the
Via based eBox systems using astlinux. Of course, we will be ordering an
evaluation system next week, but is there anything that we should know
of in advance?

Thanks in advance, for your response.
