Back in October as mentioned inline, Sangoma donated a card for development in the Astlinux environment...Does anyone know what came about with the Sangoma/Astlinux Integration?

It works perfectly on every machine, every Linux distro, etc that I have ever tried to run it on. However, this comes at a sacrifice - it makes a lot of assumptions about the location of files on the system and was not designed to support cross compiling. It is also quite large. The Setup script is several thousand lines long. I have been able to get it to compile against recent versions of AstLinux. However, my current solution requires a HUGE amount of patching. Every time Sangoma releases a new version, which is often (that's a good thing), there is a good chance that I would have to rework significant portions of the patch. This requires a lot of time, and I don't want to end up in a situation (like with mISDN lately) where it takes so much time it can't be done reliably from release to release. mISDN was missing from a couple of releases, but now it is back. That is not acceptable to me and I want to work very hard to make sure something like that never happens again. As of yesterday, Sangoma has promised me a donation (presumably) for working on this issue. No bounty is necessary, and I won't take any donations from you guys for this. Thank Sangoma for doing the right thing and supporting AstLinux directly! -- Kristian Kielhofner _______________________________________________ Astlinux-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.kriscompanies.com/mailman/listinfo/astlinux-users Donations to support AstLinux are graciously accepted via PayPal to [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- No virus found in this incoming message.
