Sure
I do understand that.
It's an adjustment to the detection time for pulse dialing into the FXS
port on the TDM400, doesn't even come into play with DTMF, which 99
percent of the users will be using.
A bunch of us collectors who have old electromechanical telephone
switches and phones have a semi-private network of Asterisk boxes and
switches throughout North America, the UK and AU/NZ
Many have made the change with no ill effects, probably not to the
degree of testing that would make you comfortable, but none the less it
HELPS with old rotary telephones. It isn't a 100 percent cure, but if
dials are in spec Asterisk then reads the correct number.

That I cannot say. Few of us are even using 1.4 yet, as it has generally
been considered unstable until recently or possibly even yet.

I suspect that, given the small number of users with rotary, worldwide
even, that no one has bothered with proper detection of pulse, just as
no one has seen a need to do dial tone detection on the FXO side, though
many complaints have surfaced over the years.

Is 0.5 going to be based on 1.4?
I thought that was further down the road.

If there is information on building from source, for a real Linux dummy
with a telephony background, point me in the right direction, then I can
make the patch myself. I simply thought this might help a few who are
using the TDM400 and FXS ports, all 3? of them!!
