Yes, genkd and genunion using /tmp/etc/rc.conf for creating /mnt/kd/ rc.conf pre-dates the new gen-rc-conf script. I see two equally good solutions... 1) genkd and genunion copy /stat/etc/rc.conf to /mnt/kd/rc.conf to create a fresh, commented, default, config. 2) genkd and genunion do not create either /mnt/kd/rc.conf or /mnt/kd/ rc.conf.d/, the default settings at boot will match #1 above. After boot, the user either manually creates a /mnt/kd/rc.conf file or uses the Network tab in the gui to create the /mnt/kd/rc.conf.d/ files. > The correct file to edit is /mnt/kd/rc.conf.d/*.conf or /mnt/kd/ > rc.conf. > Afterwhich you can either reboot or issue 'gen-rc-conf' which would > re-generate the file in /tmp/etc/rc.conf (/etc/rc.conf is a sym link > to > /tmp/etc/rc.conf) Amen, Darrick, your statement above is the new gospel of AstLinux 0.6 (and trunk today).
