It happens.  It took me a while to work it out as well.

The image you want is 
http://www.djhsolutions.com/astlinux/astlinux-0.6.1-net5501.img.gz.  
This *includes* runnix and is designed to be written to a CF card.  The 
ISO image is designed as a bootable CDROM, which isn't what you want.

Once you have your CF card installed with runnix, you will only need to 
download 
http://www.djhsolutions.com/astlinux/astlinux-0.6.x-net5501.tar.gz in 
the future.  This will contain the .run files needed.
