I ran yum install zlib-devel and make now completes. Thanks. When we debug ordinary Asterisk we compile it with DONT_OPTIMISE and DEBUG_THREADS flags so it can be debugged by gdb. Is there a simple way to set this up on the build for Asterisk under Astlinux - I cant see anything obvious in the config. Many thanks.
