I have seen similar situation. Take a look at the syslog below. In this
case I have Astlinux as both my router and pbx a fairly recent trunk build
(can't remember exactly what SVN version). Network interface eth0 is
connected to Comcast cable modem and gets IP and DNS from DHCP. Network
interface eth1, eth2 are bridged to internal 192.168.1.1.
Notice at 10:41:50 I get unreachable notices.
Then at 10:42:00 kernel reports eth0 link down
Then at 10:42:03 kernel reports eth0 link up.
BUT... nothing reconnects. INADYN continues to fail. Asterisk fails to
register to the trunks (vitelity and sipgate) reporting possible DNS errors.
AND... worse still, notice that starting at 10:45:00 asterisk starts to
report peers 101, 102, 103 and 104 as unreachable. These are my internal
extensions on Linksys/Sipura SPA ATA devices.
I can still ssh into the device. But no internal computers/devices could
route out to the internet. So something is wrong. I had to reset both my
comcast cable modem and the astlinux box to recover from this (several hours
later when I got home).
I was waiting for it to occur again to hopefully diagnose further before
reporting, but as it sounds similar to your problem I thought I would report
it now.
