Quite a few in the Collectors network community have AstLinux systems with the TE110 card working, but using HP 5000 series thin clients. Though this community isn't too interested in many simultaneous calls, so we really can't contribute much to your stress testing. Others have also used AstLinux coupled with a Cisco 3810, using SIP, and the T1 port to a channel bank, making for up to 30 channels available. Due to limits in the 3810, only 6 could be working at any one time. It certainly sounds like the Sockris is just to much of a wimp to do what you want. Rack mount computers with Atom MB's can be made to look unlike a PC and might be an easier path. You many want to experiment with a number of different platforms. Interfacing with the large variety and age of switches will be a MUCH larger challenge. Your time may eat up much of what now appears to be a lower cost solution than replacement.
