That's what we get in this country, largely speaking. That's why I always
stress that it's ADSL over here - asymmetric. The standard is 8Mbps down,
832kbps up. SDSL is available, but not in the locations where our offices
are located - as a National park, we are obviously somewhat rural. Faster
ADSL connections are available in urban locations (20Mbps, 50Mbps down, no
idea about the uplink speed), but not here. It is our rural location which
also makes leased lines prohibitively expensive, since we are so far from
any POP. That's why we're stuck with 832kbps VPNs between our offices
(though we do aggregate lines with load balancers on our data - not VoIP -
conections), giving us 1.664Mbps between sites (the balancers are
firewall-agnostic, so should work if we used Astlinux as the firewalls):
