I have not tested it, but an alternative approach to create a 4 x FXO SIP gateway might be by using the BlackBochs SBC.
http://www.rockbochs.com/products/blackbochs-sbc Not cheap at a total cost of $100 per FXO port, but it runs AstLinux so the learning curve should be near zero. It could be a dedicated SIP-FXO gateway to another AstLinux box, or the complete Asterisk solution. Question, which AstLinux firmware is best for the BlackBochs SBC, the "alix" board ? Does it's serial port default to 38400 baud like the Alix ? I wonder if the Audiocodes provides better echo cancellation then what OSLEC could provide with the BlackBochs SBC.
