Well 1.8 is officially past its end-of-life date.  I have been using
Asterisk 11 for several years now and it is working reliably.  I did try
Asterisk 13 when it first came out but had issues with calls just
disconnecting on me after say 10 minutes or so.  Because of that I went
back to Asterisk 11 and have not tried 13 again since.
