I went to the AT&T store thinking that I was going to be the idiot who couldn't figure out how to use it. I was amazed at how easy it was. I have only recently started using a bluetooth keyboard, but before that I did everything on the screen. And again, the apps are endless. For example, the other day, I was able to use an app called OMoby to take a picture of a box and have it tell me what it was. Then from there, I used the Safari app to go to the web and look up the directions for that product. Also I have found some really neat, fun games for myself and the kids, who are also both totally blind. I do understand the issues with the carriers, which is why I have the pod instead of the phone. At least that's my understanding. I text and E-mail with my iphone on the screen all the time. Try it before you give up. Works better if you turn on touch typing mode.
