Hi All: I too, do hope that the election process can be streamlined next year. We did have some issues with the hotel. Some things were small such as our trash cans not being emptied but the big one is that I requested an ADA accessible room on July 15 and have my email confirmation to that effect and when I got there they had given all the ADA rooms away and said that everyone there was disabled not knowing the difference between being blind versus being blind and have orthopedic disabilities. I learned later that they had given ADA rooms to people who didn't actually need them such as Mike, and it was a real hardship for me. Not only were we far away from the convention which required a lot of walking with my walker but I couldn't take care of my personal hygiene while I was there and couldn't use my toilet for the first day and after being told that they could bring up a portable grab bar and not doing it, after asking 3 times they finally brought it. They were sorry for the inconvenience but this was more than that. I have been in raging pain since I have been home and barely able to walk. I do think that the hotel staff need some education regarding various disabilities.

I'm not sure if it was because Christy or Amy were in the room when they wanted to do it, or if we were just missed. The coffee in-room was also good, though I only made some the first morning. Subject: Re: [ATI] the hotel was Re: elections I think my trash cans were emptied, then again, I didn't put a whole lot in them. My room definitely had the necessities covered though, the bathroom was a bit on the small side, but not too bad there. The shower was nice, had a built in massage feature. I think the clincher was that I told them I had no where to throw my cans but on the floor. That did it, the room was spotless in the next 30 minutes. Actually they were really over the top on accomodating us! > Steve > > -----Original Message----- From: Mike Arrigo > Sent: Monday, October 14, 2013 4:15 PM > To: [email protected] > Cc: [email protected] > Subject: [ATI] the hotel was Re: elections > > I would say over all the hotel was good, though a bit expensive.
