Um... where does the spec say that? I'm super nervous about trying to impose any behavior on publishing systems unless there's a slam- dunk interoperability reason. PME5 says that posting a non-entry constitutes a request that two resources be created, etc. That would leave the door open for the server to deal with some special media- type in some special weird way and create an ordinary non-media-link entry and return its URI. Trying to rule this out seems counter- productive.
If someone wants to experiment with an extension to the core by creating a new URI for POSTing batches to and put that URI in an extension element in the introspection document that would be great, but I don't believe that belongs in the core.
