I would not say that they are semantically equivalent. With [EMAIL PROTECTED]'alternate']/@href, I'd expect some of the metadata inside <entry> and </entry> to be available in the alternative representation. With content/@src, I wouldn't expect that. To be more precise, I see content/@src to be a smaller "unit" of information than the atom:entry and whatever alternate representations it may have.
