Is the CentOS *4* mentioned above a typo? I don't think you can make much with mythtv on RHEL4/CentOS4. There is still a nostalgia package of 0.21 for EL4 but that's all that humanely possible. Note that RHEL6 is showing off in a nice beta and that there is already ATrpms/mythtv support for it, so if someone wants to look into the future he might try the RHEL6 beta with mythtv packages from ATrpms' el6 repo. If the previous time differeces between RHEL betas and GAs are any indication, then the GA will be out 5-6 months after the (first) beta, so it could look like RHEL6's ETA is somewhere within September to November 2010. In any case ATrpms will track further betas and the GA with package support for mythtv/mplayer/vlc and all the usual suspects. -- Axel.Thimm at ATrpms.net
