I woulda posted this earlier, but what happened was, i found a brand new AppleTV on clearance at target for $160.00 so instead of waiting until after my business trip, I quickly set it up sat/sun before I left, had to for the wife, it works (thank god, I'm so glad to have that huge box out of my living room, but my wife just wants something that works, anyways) and So i tested out this tool like Sunday night, but I did check to make sure i restarted lircd and had /dev/usb/hiddev0.
