If you make any progress on HDMI audio let me know. The only way I've been able to get HDMI Audio to work is using the following combinations:
- ALSA 1.0.19 or newer - Open-source "nv" driver - Ubuntu 8.04, 8.10 (and probably 9.04) Or... - ALSA 1.0.19 or newer - nVidia restricted driver 100.14.23 (which only runs on older kernels - for me that means Ubuntu 8.04 or prior) - Ubuntu 8.04 Since I need OpenGL support I had to go with the second combination (the open source nv driver doesn't do 3D / OpenGL) There is more information on this thread: http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=1996245 (probably more information that you wanted to know) On May 14, 2009, at 12:15 PM, sean kremlen wrote: > Well, thanks all -- and especially thanks to the Ubuntu devs.... > because xubuntu 9.04 fixed the issue on HDMI. sound isn't working > yet but i'll tackle that later, and in a different thread... > > --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ To post to this group, send email to [email protected] For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/atv-bootloader?hl=en -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
