Hi Paul,

A quick internet search suggests that there
are other useful settings for these.

I'll experiment with other alternatives. The csquotes package also allows one to use
the ascii quotation mark (") directly, via the \makeautoquote(?) macro (not
sure about its correct name right now).

Should we do anything to prevent this for other users? A few options:

1. Nothing.

This could work. A suggestion could be added under the "More" help of the "LaTeX-csquotes-close-quote"
variable, and in the manual, to delete "TeX-fold-quotes" from "TeX-fold-region-functions", and to add an
appropriate macro in "LaTeX-fold-macro-spec-list"?

4. Avoid TeX-open-quote/TeX-close-quote in the "problematic" case that
TeX-close-quote is "}", resorting then to the default pairs.

or maybe simply if "LaTeX-csquotes-close-quote" is not at its standard value?
Who knows what other customizations that break folding could be entered by some users :)

I don't think my vote counts in this, as I'm going to use fold-mode very
sparingly if at all. So I'm happy with any decision you all take :)

Thank you so much for your kind help with this!
Luca
