Hi Alexander, Thank you for your efforts in supporting us for all those years. I apologize for replacing the credits in the translation it was not the intention but an overlook.
The reason I used the translation from transifex was that the translation there looked more polished at first glance. Here are some examples where your translation has typos or unclear translations: > msgstr "Быстрая вибрация ткмбра, > "'%s' - это трек компакт-диска. \n" "Audacity не может открыть её напрямую. \n” > msgstr "Подсказка Найквиста” > msgstr "Выроавнять или переместить конец к концу" and there are other. Now that I have looked into it more, I see that there are definitely more stylistic nuances there, and it might not be reasonable to change all “НЧ” to “Низкие частоты” and similar, so I am leaning toward reverting to your version in the future. With that said, I would love to see your translation use some of the fixes provided (it is quite easy to do so using a diff viewer), and if possible, I would kindly ask you to cooperate with Andrei Stepanov on transifex, as this is not a competition but a collaboration. > On 11 Mar 2025, at 06:26, Nikitich <nk...@yandex.ru> wrote: > > Hi, > > I have been supporting the Russian localization of audacity for 6 years. > Version 372 has a localization version with edits from another translator. > These edits were not discussed with me, and the translation style is broken. > If you don't like something, then the edits should be coordinated with the > main translator. > In the future, please use my version on > Audacity-translation@lists.sourceforge.net > -- > Best Regards, > Nikitich > > _______________________________________________ > Audacity-translation mailing list > Audacity-translation@lists.sourceforge.net > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/audacity-translation _______________________________________________ Audacity-translation mailing list Audacity-translation@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/audacity-translation
