@Zoren: AGreed, but wouldn't the sensable solution be a scorched-Earth approach to what Youtube Kids should be? I.E. Only things allowed on Youtube for Kids are already-syndicated childrens programming, and amateur content that has gone through human review without one bit of automation. And to spare Google the financial burden excuse, the human review process would be initiated via a nominal fee paid by the content creator, which also allows them to really think about whether or not it's worth posting the content in the kids section. Does it mean less frequent content? Absolutely. But does it mean an actual safer Youtube? Abso-friggin-lutely. I doubt they'd actually do this, though, because well, machine learning.
