Going to have to disagree with you on that one. Most rpgs don't have to have complex fighting systems, what you're describing is an action rpg which is more like what this is. This is built along the lines of a zelda game, and while it's not nearly as complex as that game is, the fighting system is not meant to be complex anyway, which is why I wouldn't describe it as an action game with rpg elements. This is a very good example of a jrpg that isn't in the same category as ff. But I agree with bladestorm's review.. this game could easily have been a psx jrpg. I will agree about the music, that there are some more midi-sounding tracks. But in terms of musical composition, nothing tops it in the audio game market.
