wave pad is old, and paid.
sound forge10 is paid.
audacity is totally free, and i made a lot with it, including a bit of sound designing
well, you could use gold wave, reaper, audacity or if you have the money sound forge or something like that. i dont recome you to use wave pad even if it's more easier to use than audacity, but for me audacity it's much better than wave pad. some goldwave things are a bit better than those on audacity, but i prefer audacity with a loot of plugins. i can also censor easily
