The SB2 doesn't have an earth to signal ground connection. Ideally you have one, and only one, earth to ground connection in an audio system.
Unfortunately, manufacturers all seem to do different things! Some make the connection at the pre amp, some in the CD Player and some in the power amp. It maybe that you just need to make an earth connection to the outer shield of one of the phono plugs on the SB2's audio output.
