This weekend, I was able to compare the SB2 with the Electrocompaniet ECD-1. It was easy to hear the difference on my humble setup. The sound through the ECD-1 was clearer, we could here more details, the bass was better controlled and so on! The SB2 compares favourably with my aging CD player though... The ECD-1 is an expensive piece of kit (In Norway: 10000 NOK, in US: $2000+) but for me, it will be worth it.
