This is a USB 2.0 device. There's a fairly limited maximum length for USB connections (a few metres is all you'll get away with, unless you want to daisy-chain powered repeaters). This means that the source PC will have to be located in the same room as the Brick. If you don't want a noisy PC interfering with the playback quality, you'll need to spend a shedload of money to get one that's completely fanless (and even then the hard disk spinning will whine a little and emit low-level clicks as the heads seek). Seems much better to use ethernet for connectivity and keep the PC away from the listening room.
