Good answer! I like my speakers (yeah the ones on the swivel chair:)
for Miles and Coltrane, but most of the other stuff you listed doesn't
sound as good on them, eg the newest Strokes album sounds like it was
recorded inside a tin can. 

Re: Stevie; The Sky is Crying is a really emotional album through them,
but some songs sound better than others. On Little Wing I am there or he
is here, whatever. But on Boot Hill I have (had) to run to the volume
control. 

FWIW, I would never suggest you _not_ look into 'full range' drivers
for your type of music..
