Here's a neat trick somebody told me about: There's a handful of recordings that have 24/96 audio on DVD video discs, like the ones here:
http://www.classicrecords.com/frames/shopthecatalog_frameset.htm (select Classic D.A.D. 24/96 or Classic HDAD 24/96 from the menu) Most DVD players - even cheap ones - have optical digital output. I take the digital out from my DVD player, and run it into my Benchmark DAC1 for super-high quality 24/96 sound without having to buying an SACD/DVD-A player (which is just money down the drain, in my opinion.) -- Mike Anderson 'FREE RADICAL RADIO!'
