I tend to agree. I didn't research much afterwards, but the article
(IIRC!) ended on a good note, and that was 4 years ago.

The assumption that all USB receivers are the same is just plain wrong.
If you see dans linked posts people are sending different units to be
tested on the guys jitter analyzers.

Also, usb does not need a PC. There is provision in the 2.0 spec for
PC-less transmission.
