If you are going to do this yourself and don't have decent equipment then I highly recommend buying used at audiogon. Think of it like renting equipment because you'll probably be able to resell after you've used it at about the same price you bought for less the shipping and the price of consumables. I don't have any LPs to rip myself but I wanted to share some positive experiences buying on audiogon.
