There is no magic to DVD-A encryption, but there is so
little content that is on DVD-A and not on CD that there
is next to zero incentive to bother.

You can do a lot better if you have a multi-channel ADC,
you can play the DVD-A, record the analog at 96/24
and then transcode as you want.

It will be far higher quality than you will need.
And probably higher quality than the content.
