Couple paths you can go down: - "External dac" path $200 - dac with switched coax and toslink inputs (I have Digital Dialogue II) $80 - Scott Endler stepped attenuators
That leaves $170 left over for a power amp. Maybe an Odyssey Khartago off the used market?
