wow.. i just read up on that xr55.  It just seems like something I
should have around... like electrical tape or a pair of vise grips. 
For the price it's cheaper than a used nad stereo cockrocker power amp,
does most of the power section of it, and has enough stuff to be the
feature player in some currently-unforseen mini-home-theater setup in
the future.  Hell it might even push me hook up some surround sound..
MAN.. here we go again... why can't i just do ANYTHING simple???  And
all I have is a PC.. so why go 5.1 on a PC?  Oh video games.. right..
so now I need to get into those again.. ok... if you insist.. here we
go again...
