My Cyrus CD8 player (both when it uses its internal DAC as well as when using an external Cyrus DAC-X) gives a distinct clicking sound (like that of a well scratched LP) only when playing CD-Rs while my wireless SB2 is close by and powered on. The minute the SB2 power supply is disconnected, the distortion goes away. I haven't seen this problem with commercial CDs. I also don't see the problem when other analogue or digital sources are connected to the system. It is not a major issue, because if i have to listen to a CD-R, I can easily disconnect the SB2, but it is intriguing nevertheless. I felt that perhaps the wireless transmitter was interfereing with the CD transport electronics, and the effect was audible with CD-Rs because perhaps the electronics had to work overtime with those, but I could be completely wrong here.
