DAC out? I am guessing this would be the same as the coax digital output. The analog outputs, on the other hand, use the internal Burr Brown DAC.
I am using the coaxial digital output (with an external DAC) and the linear PS does make a very noticeable difference, for the better. The Cascade Surplus Power One supply was $2.50, BTW. I am not sure if there are any left!
