ok, I think I understand what you are asking now!

In this particular case the inversion is done in the digital domain in
the pre-amp. So swithing relay differences etc can be ruled out. It is
probably the preferred method when it comes to not affecting things
inadvertently.

Of course, if I had the time, I would invert it some other place as
well and verify that the results are now reversed with regard to the
pre-amp settings. But I kind of trust the engineering that went into my
TacT preamp. ("Kind of..")
