The only time I did a blind test I failed to do more than guess (wrong

I wonder if the buffer size can have any effect? For example, if you
shut down the server while a .wav is playing, it only plays about ten
seconds more. If a FLAC is playing, it seems to finish the song, or at
least play for much longer. 

Buffer size seemed to be a pretty big issue for USB DAC's IIRC, larger
being better. Would that render the hypothesis: Decoding on the player
is better- utilizing a relatively larger buffer; valid?
