The more I think about it, the more I can see that an audiophile version could fit into Slim Devices product line with hurting sales of their basic model. The "hot" version would need to be priced well above the basic version though (3 to 4 times)
Having a "hot" model may well get audiophiles to come over to their system en-masse. Everyone else just won't consider it and just use the basic model (bear in mind that there is a generation out there happily listening to mp3's when they know that CD's offer better quality) Personally, I would buy one of the audiophile versions for my main system and use the remaining 3 basic models I have to service non-critical listening rooms.
