Depending on how you define an audiophile, i really am not one. For example, the most i have ever spent on a single piece of audio gear is £300, and that was my Panasonic surround reciever (perhaps my DVD player was £350 about 6 years ago). So paying $2000 (for the sake of argument) on a high end SP is alien to me, but if that is profitable for SD and there is a market for it, i'm all for it :)
