Thanks for the replies. After reading them and then spending a ridiculous amount of time on bulliten boards, it looks like I will either rip to FLAC or AIFF for native playback on the SB3. Right now I'm leaning slightly towards the jriver software as a no hassle solution which could eliminate having to maintain duplicate files, but I have a couple of questions about it:
1. When downloading to the ipod, does the automatic conversion to mp3 or aiff slow the download much? 2.
