I did a careful A/B comparison of the DAC AH and the SB3 internal DAC, using a pre-amp with an input selector. Unfortunately the volume levels were slightly different (and I don't have the equipment to level them), so I had to do it by hand which makes it impossible to do a proper test. However I can report that the differences were very subtle, if there were any at all. Several times I thought I was listening to one, and realized it was in fact the other.
