It sounds to me that if you want true audiophile copies of your CDs you
are going to have to rip them all again (preferably to Flac so you get
the tags... you can even include reviews, bios and lyrics with a bit of
manual editing using something like MP3Tag).
BTW. I use a Plextor CDR. These cost a few pounds more (£20 perhaps?)
than other drives but are considered to be very good. The EAC/Plextor
combo has ripped all my CDs without any errors. The only time I have
had any problems is when I've been trying to do some other processor
intensive activity on my PC at the same time (ideally I do not use the
computer for anything else while I am ripping, which is fine as long as
you have another computer).
And... Accurate Rip hardly ever verifies my CDs as accurate. I think
there are just too many different pressings of most CDs to make it a
very worthwhile service.
