I did not tried foobar before because the home page does not list wma as one of the supported formats, but after looking through the forums I found that it was possible to configure it to transcode to wma. Using the settings below I got foobar to transcode to wma, but the resulting file is a wma lossless file that is even bigger than the original flac file. I used the following steps that I found in the hydrogenaudio forum. 1.- I added a custom encoder and pointed it to the WMCmd.vbs script in the Windows Media Encoder folder. 2.- Used the following command line parameters that I found in the forum: -input %s -output %d -a_codec WMA9LSL -a_mode 2 -a_setting Q100_44_2_24 I guess what I need is parameters for foobar that will result in a loosy wma file that approximates the wma files in my library which have the following characteristics: 159 Kbps VBR Quality 75, 44 kHz, stereo 1-pass VBR Last night I also had a little time to play with MediaCode and trancoding from Flac to wma is not straight foward either. I installed the Windows Media Encoder 9 as suggested in their forum and configured MediaCode wma encoder path to point to it, but it does not work. I get an error that ask me to look at a log that I can not find. Does anyone have instruction on how to configure MediaCode to trancode Flac lossless to wma loosy? Another question: Can someone tell me if it is necesary to trancode Flac to another looseless format before I can convert it to WMA? I'm starting to suspect that the WME does not transcode directly from Flac. I'm new at this audio file conversion stuff. joncourage, I won't be able to spend much time looking at how to configure Mareo to transcode to flac and wma simultaneously until the weekend. (gotta work) If you could post the steps that you used to rip to multiple formats (flac and mp3) automatically using Mareo I'd appreciate it.
