I am surprised for the opposite reason, assuming you just picked out a CD at random and found 4 CU errors on it. If I picked out a random CD from my collection (some of which are 20 years old), I'd expect to get zero CU errors.
I didn't actually keep a count at the time, but when I was ripping the whole shooting match (over 1000 CDs) for my SB setup, I'd estimate there were less than a dozen which had any CU errors at all (including the bronzed PDO ones!). Maybe the fact I was using a Plextor drive might have some relevance. -- cliveb ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cliveb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=348 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=24957 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
