The files have to be saved and then played with SS - I don't know
another way to do it.  So get foobar, install the convolver plugin, and
generate a filter using DRC.  Then in foobar you can select files and
"Convert" them.  In the dialog box which pops up you can choose a DSP
algorith to perform, so select convolve and the filter you want to use.
Then foobar will ask you where to save the resulting file, and then you
can load it into slimserver.

You'll have to ask him; he seems to be making great progress.  At the
moment it's working but has some rough edges - as expected at this
stage.  It's much more ambitious than just a hack to convolve filters
with the audio stream - it's got an equalizer and a nice interface
which is controllable with the remote.  I'm using it all the time, but
am still experimenting with DRC and filters to find the best one.
