There is a windows convolver called, creatively, "convolver" - which has a command line version (called "convolvercmd").
http://convolver.sourceforge.net/ It doesn't currently accept inputs or outputs to stdin or stdout, which I think would be necessary to hack it into slimserver using convert.conf. However I've requested that that feature be added - if you email the developer and do the same it might speed things up. That would allow a simple alternative while inguz is developing his plugin. Yes I know I can use it with jriver or even WMP. Bravo for your request to the developer, hadn't thought about that. Will send a mail.
