As someone pointed out to me - there is, the Olive Opus. It too is a audiophile player that does music only and it costs upwards of $2500 I seem to remember, but it includes its own server and disks and is plug and play. If there's a PC with iTunes there, it can use it, you can plug in additional disks and there are SB3-like satellite units coming too. I had a good look at it myself, but without hearing it, it's hard to recommend - but it has had very good reviews in the audio press. I think Slim should take a good look at this if they haven't already, having a ready-to-go solution for audiophiles is a very strong offering. Slim is a tad too challenging to get right sometimes, we all have to tinker from time to time - and not in an audiophile way to extract better sound, but to keep the thing working. I'd love to see something like that from Slim. They have all the components, it just needs packaging for the non-tech audience and the tech audience like me who just want to listen to music, not tweak servers.
